Roman got a haircut. A BAD haircut. Mom waited way too long to get him to the groomer and much shaving ensued. He usually has this really long beautiful tail. Now he is a pig dog. His tail is curly and without the hair, it looks BAD!
He looks like a little puppy again. He is cute.

Oh, the Joy!
How happy does this kiddo look? This was taken after a finger-painting episode at Aunt Kari's house with mango baby food. Thanks, Smeds for getting him clean!!!!
Little man loves his bath. He has learned to splash and chase bubbles (from the bubble machine... not from gastrointestinal discomfort...) and HATES to get out. It is such a joy to see him grow so much!!

The Last Decade
In the last decade, many things in my life have changed. Many things have not.
Things that have changed:
Ten years ago and now:
I was 21. (How young does that sound now?) Now I am 31. Yikes.
New Years Eve, 1999 we all knew the world was about to end. New Years Eve this year I was home at 930pm and asleep.
My mother and father were still alive. My grandparents were still alive. My mother died in 2003, my grandparents in 2007 and my father in 2008.
I was not diabetic (at least not diagnosed). Well, I am diabetic, but it is so well controlled now!!
I was carefree. Still carefree, but with more responsibility. Ok, maybe not carefree, but happy and optomistic.
I owned a crappy Chevy Nova - or a crappy Nissan Sentra (I don't remember which one I owned. Either one is crappy.) I now drive a kickin' Ford Escape that I love - especially in the winter.
I was in love with a man twice my age. Now I am in love with a man barely six months old.
Things that have not changed are my love of life. My love of my family. My love of the gospel. My optimism. My love of playing my cello. My love for my friends. My love of education. My love of my Savior.
Here's to another 10 fantastic years!
