I didn't think I needed to clarify...

So, I guess I need to clarify....

Someone today put the following deductions together.  And not in this particular order:
I chose to be a single mother by in vitro fertilization
I don't wear jewelry very often
I am not dating... so I must be a lesbian.

Okay, now I realize that this person did not know me during the 9/10ths of my life that consisted of before I had a child and doesn't know that I love being feminine and ladylike, but guess once again I need to clarify...

I am a heterosexual.  
For all those who really know me, you know that I enjoy dating.  I chose to be a single mother for reasons that are not anyone's business, but I would give a lot to share that with a man who I love and trust with my son.

I don't wear jewelry because I am not married (no ring on my left hand), my son pulls off my earrings and it hurts like hell, and necklaces usually get torn from my neck, and my wrist is too fat for bracelets.   I wear one ring because my mother gave it to me just before she died and I love it.

Also, I am not dating because I am trying really hard to be here for my son.  I am lonely.  A lot.  I am desperately lonely, but I am not desperate.  I love my life and I love my son.  I have always planned on doing  this alone, but I would love to change that plan should the right man come along.

Everyone clear?  Thank you.  I will get off my soap box.

Mom's Hot Date

Mom had a really amazing date night.  

With my son. 

We went to the Dinosaur Park, then to Rainbow Gardens to share a Mormon Muffin.  And milk.  It was awesome.

It must be tradition to take a picture of my little man in this spot.  

What does a dinosaur say?  Aiden says, "ooo Ooo Oooo"  

What?  No!  That is what a Monkey says.  

We had to work on that.  By the end of the night, we had this:

ROAR!!!

So cold, but so fun.

Aiden is feeling better.  And we couldn't be happier at my house.  When Aiden is not feeling well, he is GRUMPY SAUCE!!

Both Saturday and Sunday, Aiden's cousins came over to work on some Christmas crafts.  Aiden loves his cousins and here is the result:
